![]() About UsWelcome to our website. This is a site that we put in place to allow our visitors and the communities that we serve the opportunity to share what our purpose is, our mandate, and our future goals as we develop our not for profit organization - the Ontario ATV Search and Rescue Federation (O-ATV-SARF) as Ontario’s first civilian ATV assisted search and rescue organization. There is a need in law enforcement to have access to highly trained volunteers who will assist local authorities, police agencies and unfortunate families who are missing a loved one and who are in need of utilizing our organization to conduct immediate and detailed ground search and rescue using all terrain vehicles (ATV’s). ATV’s are an essential piece of equipment that enables law enforcement to
cover extensive and remote areas quickly and are used to transport other
rescue personnel to designated sites, medical supplies, food and other
equipment used to assist during these search operations. We are planning our future by aligning ourselves with other Search and Rescue organizations and emergency response teams in the province of Ontario. Our established partnerships are the Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle clubs and Hills Riders located in Palgrave Ontario. Both of these groups provide our organization with skilled volunteers who assist us on our search and rescue assignments. This step has provided our organization with a wealth of experienced and knowledgeable riders who are strategically located throughout the province. Our goal is to continue to build strong working relationships with all law enforcement agencies across Ontario by continuing to offer our services to them. Our SAR training is ongoing as we strive to obtain GSAR accreditation, complete EMS training levels one, two and three, and become medically certified in order to provide immediate delivery of medical care in the event that we find missing persons that are in need of our expertise and valued assistance. We exist to serve law enforcement agencies, local communities and its citizens. Our mandate is to deliver this service as a highly trained and skilled group, which is comprised of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are welcome in our organization. If you have a special skill, professional accreditation, or expertise in any area that you feel may strengthen our group please contact Mr. Jamie Kinsella, President of O-ATV-SARF, at jamie@oatvsarf.org or phone: (705) 737-3647. It’s the extraordinary commitment of our volunteers that has made us successful and productive. |
